Doing some night shots with Z7 20mm

My work-flow:
- set AF to AF-S
- focus on far away light or for near objects use flashlight to assist AF.
- set AF to manual
Take multiple photos.
Now my problem is the huge manual focus ring of the 20mm.
In the dark I touch it too often and focus is gone.
Any Idea how to complete disable focus even manual AF?
