• implement a Background Image.

Signatures is being looked into now. Gear list - not sure about that yet.

Dark Mode is on the list

Exif is on the list, but for now, I've posted a thread where, with Chrome or a Chrome Clone, you can have an add-on which does it when you hover. With Firefox, you have to right click. So, the options are there for the majority of the browsers.

gallery is on my todo list, public and privat images is a good hint too.

Add the ability to have Emojis in posts.

right would consider this a bug, will take it to the buglist.

When adding a post to a thread and including the post above (so quoting it), could the cursor be put at the end of the text and the view changed to show that. I've seen a few people put their reply in the middle of a quoted text - and that looks really weird.

A way to mark all posts in a category as read (or indeed the whole forum).

That way, when I revisit the site, I can see which categories then have new posts.

It works for me. I have two accounts with dots in the email address. Can you provide a screenshot of the error?

It is possible that the email address has been used. Someone with the username of sergeDPRreview and dpreviewblog have each claimed an email that looks similar (from what I can read with the blocking of the whole email)

Thanks, we will consider this. At the moment, we just want to get it up and running so we are not forcing people to register before they can see what it's got in it. Once we have a forward stable momentum, we will revisit all this.

In theory, if you click on the blue icon on the LH side of the thread title (in the forum list), it should take you to the first unread. At leats that is how I understand it. I'm not sure if it works that way or not as sometimes it shows me posts from days ago that I have already seen. But I know the unread algorithm is changing, so maybe it's better now.

Not at the moment, but you do have the ability to scroll up and down the underlying post while you are editing.

Unfortunately, I don't think your way will come to fruition without a LOT of underlying code change. But you CAN continue to read multiple pages of posts with the edit window open. It's not quite as big as having a separate tab/window. but it may help.
